In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work The Courthope Collection by William Tillyer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,977.05), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Tillyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blackbird in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 66,369.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Courthope Collection von William Tillyer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.977,05) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Tillyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blackbird im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 66.369,47).
