In May 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION, which included the work Dogs With Flowers And Game by William Strutt. It changed hands for a price of AUD 38,240.00 (€ 23,506.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by William Strutt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work British A Sound Investment was auctioned for AUD 48,000.00 (€ 29,041.11).
