This artwork by William Strutt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2007. In the Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye auction, the work Two studies of a lioness sold for GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,226.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by William Strutt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British A Sound Investment in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 48,000.00 (€ 29,041.11).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Strutt erzielte im Februar 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye wurde die Arbeit Two studies of a lioness für GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.226,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Strutt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British A Sound Investment im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 48.000,00 (€ 29.041,11).
