Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William Strutt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2007. In the Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye auction, the work Two studies of camels sold for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,336.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Strutt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British A Sound Investment in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 48,000.00 (€ 29,041.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Strutt erzielte im Februar 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye wurde die Arbeit Two studies of camels für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.336,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Strutt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British A Sound Investment im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 48.000,00 (€ 29.041,11).
