A top price for William Rose - as previously expected
This work without title by William Rose was sold in the THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION auction at Christies in Sydney in March 2006. The price achieved of AUD 3,465.50 (€ 2,045.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by William Rose that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Rose wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.465,50 (€ 2.045,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von William Rose, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
