This artwork by William Raymond Dommersen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2007. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Figures before Rentz Castle, on the Moselle; and Rowing on the lake sold for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,513.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by William Raymond Dommersen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A street in the Jews Quarter, Amsterdam in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 20,315.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Raymond Dommersen erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Figures before Rentz Castle, on the Moselle; and Rowing on the lake für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.513,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Raymond Dommersen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A street in the Jews Quarter, Amsterdam im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.315,00.
