Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a young girl; Portrait of a young boy by William Powell Frith was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,584.00 (€ 3,584.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Powell Frith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Derby Day: the 'first study' for the celebrated painting in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 505,250.00 (€ 605,108.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl; Portrait of a young boy von William Powell Frith wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert.
