Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The river valley at Bonneville with the Savoy Alps behind by William Pars was sold in the 300 Years Of British Drawings auction at Christies in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,189.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Pars have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of Twickenham And The River Thames From Strawberry Hill, London in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 15,275.00 (€ 25,374.81).
