Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work ‘Slower – Nigga – Slower’ by William Papas for GBP 688.00 (€ 783.33). This price was achieved in the auction The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Other works by William Papas have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2018 by the work Brief Candle at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,423.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit ‘Slower – Nigga – Slower’ von William Papas für GBP 688,00 (€ 783,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Andere Arbeiten von William Papas wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2018 die Arbeit Brief Candle mit GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.423,19).
