A top price for William Morris Hunt - as previously expected
The work The Flight of Night by William Morris Hunt was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 41,125.00 (€ 44,087.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Flight of Night is the most expensive artwork by William Morris Hunt that we have observed at auctions so far.
