It changed hands for a price of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,583.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Morris Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flight of Night in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 41,125.00 (€ 44,087.69).
