Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Gleneagles Pictures, which included the work Loch Na Keal, From Iona by William Mervyn Glass. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,922.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by William Mervyn Glass have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2007 the work The Monk Rocks, Iona was auctioned for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,934.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Gleneagles Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Loch Na Keal, From Iona von William Mervyn Glass zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.922,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von William Mervyn Glass konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2007 die Arbeit The Monk Rocks, Iona für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 14.934,11) versteigert.
