It achieved a price of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,057.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Admittedly, works by William Mervyn Glass have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Monk Rocks, Iona in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,934.11).

Die Arbeit Lunga from Iona von William Mervyn Glass kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.057,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Mervyn Glass auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Monk Rocks, Iona im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 14.934,11).
