Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Iona Cathedral by William Mervyn Glass was sold in the British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures auction at Christies in London in March 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,378.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Mervyn Glass - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Monk Rocks, Iona, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,934.11).

Die Arbeit Iona Cathedral von William Mervyn Glass wurde im März 2002 in der Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert.
