Alfred Taubman: American Art auction, the work Nonchalance changed hands for USD 237,500.00 (€ 224,862.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by William McGregor Paxton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Letter in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 834,500.00 (€ 927,016.22).
