Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Dutch Idyll by William Kay Blacklock was auctioned at Sothebys in London in August 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,960.00 (€ 10,288.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Kay Blacklock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.960,00 (€ 10.288,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Kay Blacklock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.863,46) versteigert wurde.
