This artwork by William Kay Blacklock achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2013. In the Victorian, British and Impressionist Art auction, the work Boating On The River sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,507.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Kay Blacklock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).
