A top price for William Kay Blacklock - as previously expected
In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Summer by William Kay Blacklock. The price achieved of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Summer is the most expensive artwork by William Kay Blacklock that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer von William Kay Blacklock zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.863,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Summer das teuerste Kunstwerk von William Kay Blacklock, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
