However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Joseph Shayer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Going out of Kennels; Moving Off; Casting for Scent; Gone Away; Full Cry; and Nearing the Kill., which sold at auction in December 2000 for USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,031.96).
