The price achieved of GBP 576.00 (€ 576.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Joseph Shayer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Going out of Kennels; Moving Off; Casting for Scent; Gone Away; Full Cry; and Nearing the Kill. in December 2000 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,031.96).
