Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors including The Collection of the Late Serge Baillache, which included the work The Three Beauties By Moonlight by William John Hennessy. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,843.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William John Hennessy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flowers Of May in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 24,137.47).

Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors including The Collection of the Late Serge Baillache durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Three Beauties By Moonlight von William John Hennessy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.843,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William John Hennessy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Flowers Of May im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 24.137,47).
