Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2020 Christies in London held the auction 300 Years Of British Drawings, which included the work A cottage in a wood by William James Müller. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,234.18) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Müller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Florence, A View Of The City And The River Arno From San Miniato in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 37,659.82).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion 300 Years Of British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cottage in a wood von William James Müller zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.234,18) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William James Müller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Florence, A View Of The City And The River Arno From San Miniato im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 37.659,82).
