Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work View of Venice (recto); Figure study (verso) by William James Müller was sold in the Dramas of Light and Land: The Martyn Gregory Collection of British Art auction at Christies in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,838.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Müller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Florence, A View Of The City And The River Arno From San Miniato in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 37,659.82).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.394,00 (€ 2.838,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William James Müller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Florence, A View Of The City And The River Arno From San Miniato im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 37.659,82).
