Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dovima under the El (Dior Creates Cosmopolitan Drama) by William Helburn was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,647.93). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Helburn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Canoe, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).

Die Arbeit Dovima under the El (Dior Creates Cosmopolitan Drama) von William Helburn kam im April 2016 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.647,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von William Helburn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Canoe beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94) versteigert wurde.
