A top price for William H. Hopkins - as previously expected
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, which included the work A Hunting Scene, With Horses And Hounds In The Foreground, And A Hunt Beyond by William H. Hopkins. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,045.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Hunting Scene, With Horses And Hounds In The Foreground, And A Hunt Beyond is the most expensive artwork by William H. Hopkins that we have observed at auctions so far.
