Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William James Glackens could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Flowers on a Garden Chair changed hands for USD 21,562.50 (€ 19,103.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Glackens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Café Lafayette (Portrait of Kay Laurell) in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 792,500.00 (€ 699,902.85).
