In March 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Welcome As Flowers In Spring by William Frederick Yeames. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,469.49), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Frederick Yeames - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cottage Garden, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 14,937.50 (€ 21,808.28).

Im März 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Welcome As Flowers In Spring von William Frederick Yeames zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.469,49) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von William Frederick Yeames mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Cottage Garden beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 14.937,50 (€ 21.808,28) versteigert wurde.
