Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,721.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Evans of Eton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A shooting party outside Haddon Hall, Derbyshire, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 9,560.00 (€ 13,738.24).
