Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams held the auction POP X Culture, which included the work Venus With A Severed Leg - Portrait of Vivienne Westwood Box-Set, 1975, printed 2004 by William English. The price achieved of GBP 896.00 (€ 1,028.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,000.00. Other works by William English have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March this year the work Vivienne Westwood at SEX, 1975, printed circa 2004 was auctioned for GBP 956.25 (€ 1,087.92).
