Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The First Temptation by William Edward Frost was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,090.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Edward Frost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus disarming Cupid in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 38,240.00 (€ 55,829.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The First Temptation von William Edward Frost wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.090,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Edward Frost erzielen.
