Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A young woman, a study from nature by William Edward Frost was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 176.25 (€ 288.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Edward Frost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus disarming Cupid in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 38,240.00 (€ 55,829.19).
