Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work Skewbald horse by William Eddowes Turner. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,400.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Eddowes Turner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A chestnut racehorse and a Jack Russell in a stable, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 2,467.50 (€ 3,545.93).
