Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Old Flamingo Road, Broken Gate by William Clapp for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,803.90). This price was achieved in the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Clapp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Barn, which sold at auction in August last year for USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,700.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Old Flamingo Road, Broken Gate von William Clapp für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.803,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Clapp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Barn beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.700,45) versteigert wurde.
