Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Town hall at Courtrai, Belgium by William Callow. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,662.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Callow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dogana, Venice, Sunrise in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Town hall at Courtrai, Belgium von William Callow zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.662,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Callow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dogana, Venice, Sunrise im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40).
