Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Continental riverside town by William Callow was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,181.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Callow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dogana, Venice, Sunrise in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Continental riverside town von William Callow wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.181,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Callow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dogana, Venice, Sunrise im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40).
