The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,874.18) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Callcott Knell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Warships approaching the anchorage in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,600.00 (€ 25,850.13).
