Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by William Brui was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,312.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Brui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition No.1. Blue, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,368.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Brui wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.312,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Brui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition No.1. Blue beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.368,88) versteigert wurde.
