This artwork by William Brui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. In the Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons auction, the work Composition No.1. Blue sold for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,368.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. This high result makes Composition No.1. Blue the most expensive artwork by William Brui that we have observed at auctions so far.
