In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Drawings, which included the work The Hymn Of Christ And The Apostles by William Blake. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 322,000.00 (€ 297,267.36). Other works by William Blake have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 722,500.00 (€ 531,875.74) in January 2013 for the work The Gambols Of Ghosts According With Their Affections Previous To The Final Judgement.
