Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pestilence, Probably The Great Plague Of London by William Blake was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2014. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gambols Of Ghosts According With Their Affections Previous To The Final Judgement in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 531,875.74).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gambols Of Ghosts According With Their Affections Previous To The Final Judgement im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 722.500,00 (€ 531.875,74).
