Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Windmill In A Reedland by Willem Weissenbruch. The price achieved of EUR 1,440.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Weissenbruch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moored shrimp-fishing vessels in the estuary of the 'Oude Rijn', Katwijk aan Zee in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 19,975.00 (€ 9,168.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windmill In A Reedland von Willem Weissenbruch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.440,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Weissenbruch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moored shrimp-fishing vessels in the estuary of the 'Oude Rijn', Katwijk aan Zee im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 19.975,00 (€ 9.168,15).
