Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Willem Weissenbruch; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Moored shrimp-fishing vessels in the estuary of the 'Oude Rijn', Katwijk aan Zee sold at auction in April 2001 with the realized price of NLG 19,975.00 (€ 9,168.15).
