Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Mountainous River Landscape With Herdsmen Resting Their Goats In The Foreground by Willem van Nieulandt the Younger was sold in the Old Master Paintings Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,584.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem van Nieulandt the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Adoration Of The Magi in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 362,500.00 (€ 457,226.47).
