In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Saint Peter'S Square, Rome, With A Procession Of Cardinals And Cannons Firing In Salute by Willem van Nieulandt the Younger. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,334.59). Admittedly, works by Willem van Nieulandt the Younger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Adoration Of The Magi in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 362,500.00 (€ 457,226.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Peter'S Square, Rome, With A Procession Of Cardinals And Cannons Firing In Salute von Willem van Nieulandt the Younger zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.334,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem van Nieulandt the Younger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Magi im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 362.500,00 (€ 457.226,47).
