Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection, which included the work Landscape With Roman Ruins by Willem van Bemmel. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,999.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem van Bemmel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A mountainous landscape with horseman on a track at sunset; and A mountainous river landscape with horsemen on a rocky path at dawn, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 13,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With Roman Ruins von Willem van Bemmel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.999,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem van Bemmel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A mountainous landscape with horseman on a track at sunset; and A mountainous river landscape with horsemen on a rocky path at dawn beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert wurde.
