Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work An Italianate landscape with a herdsman drinking from a fountain, his cattle and sheep nearby by Willem Romeyn. The price achieved of EUR 6,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Willem Romeyn have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2008 the work Shepherds Tending A Herd Of Sheep And Cattle was auctioned for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,911.04).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden.
