Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stilleven Met Rode Kruik by Wim Oepts was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wim Oepts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The yellow house in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 36,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stilleven Met Rode Kruik von Wim Oepts wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wim Oepts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The yellow house im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.000,00.
