Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape with Cows by Willem Maris for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,689.62). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Maris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Herdboy With Donkeys On Scheveningen Beach in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape with Cows von Willem Maris für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.689,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Maris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Herdboy With Donkeys On Scheveningen Beach im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
