In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A donkeyrider resting in the dunes, Scheveningen by Willem Maris. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 31,250.00 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Willem Maris have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 50,400.00 in October 2006 for the work A Herdboy With Donkeys On Scheveningen Beach.

Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A donkeyrider resting in the dunes, Scheveningen von Willem Maris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 31.250,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Willem Maris haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00 im Oktober 2006 für die Arbeit A Herdboy With Donkeys On Scheveningen Beach beobachtet.
