The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Wilhelm Kray have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work German the Sirens was auctioned for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,379.93).
